GLUTEN FREE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM (GFCP) ISSUE 3

Course Description:

This training course has been designed to help you gain an appreciation of celiac disease and non-celiac gluten sensitivity, understand the Gluten-Free Certification Program requirements and to provide guidance on implementing a Gluten-Free Management System in your business.

 

This course has been designed to enable participants to gain a full understanding of the general principles of the Standard, and how to comply with the requirements.

 

Participants will also gain an understanding of what to expect during the process of certification, and actions needed prior to, during and after the audit

 

Course Pre-Requisites

  • Participants must have read and reviewed a copy of the BRC Global Standard Gluten Free Issue 3.

  • The standard copy is available to download free of charge from the BRCGS website, or hard copies are available to purchase from the BRCGS bookshop. Please go to www.brcgs.com for further details.

 

Duration: 1 day

 

Cost: $495.00 + HST 13% All prices are in Canadian dollars.

  • Participants are required to bring a copy of their product list, ingredient list, packaging material list, process flow diagram and plant schematic.

 

Training Assessment:

  • At the end of the course; each participant is required to be assessed with an exam.

  • The exam consists of 25 questions and participant is required to score 80% to pass an exam.

 

Training Certificate:

At the end of the course, the participants will receive “Gluten Free Certification Program” certificate after successful pass of an exam.

 

GFCP Certificate fee:       

In addition to training fees, GFCP charges US $30 (C$40) per certificate; the participant is required to pay certificate fee.

 

Training Location:

Training location will be communicated to the participant; 30 days prior to the training within GTA area.

 

Meals: The breakfast, lunch and tea will be provided to each participant.

 

Cancellation policy:         

50% of training cost is applied when participant decided to cancel training 15 days prior to the training date.

 

When there are less than 10 participants, training will be rescheduled or cancelled, and participant will be notified immediately. In case of cancellation of class, the participant will be reimbursed for the training fees immediately.
